EXECUTIVE LOUNGE INTERIOR FOR PRIMEDIA
South Africa’s leading media group, Primedia, approached XZIBIT to transform an existing and unused interior space at its Headquarters into a multipurpose executive lounge.
With more than 50 brands in broadcasting, advertising, marketing, promotions, sport, entertainment and digital media hosted on site, this was naturally an exciting brief for the Creative Team at XZIBIT.

The brief was to upgrade and transform the space to accommodate an executive lounge with possibilities for private meetings, relaxed lounging, breakaway and entertainment as well as a flexible space that could be used for day and night press events and launches.
The interior provided an upmarket feel with one-of-a-kind customised furniture. Attention to detail was shown in modern lighting elements, furniture selection, and personalised artworks.
Earthy dark wood-look flooring and low hanging gloss black bulkheads were used to ground the space and provide an intimate feel. Clear acrylic boardroom chairs and lounge armchairs were used to allow functional seating that did not interrupt the visual flow for the space.Old time and charming elements were brought through in the leather Chesterfield couch and an adjustable industrial chrome floor lamp.
The double volume space and large windows offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding Cape Town V&A and CBD area with exceptional views of the Green point stadium. The incomparable view was kept as an important draw card for the space with white gloss Louvre blinds which can be completely drawn or opened depending on the uses for the space.
The launch date for the executive lounge was held on the 7th May 2013 where a list of DJ personalities such as Terence Mentor, Ryan O’connor, Liezel Van der Westhuizen, Kurt Meyer, Cassidy Meyer, Theo Esau, Deon Bing, Steven Werner (Seen in event pictures) enjoyed the new interior.
